President Rodrigo Duterte lost his “most honest” secretary after the Commission on Appointments (CA) rejected the appointment of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Judy Taguiwalo.
This is a statement by Taguiwalo’s former colleague at the University of the Philippines (UP) Kabayan party-list Rep. Harry Roque.
Roque is one of those who are disappointed in rejecting the powerful commission on the appointment of the DSWD secretary.
“Such a loss for the country! She was amongst the most honest, hard working and competent member of the Cabinet,” Roque said.
Meanwhile Bayan Muna party-list Rep. Teddy Casino also disappointed what CA decisions. In his statement he said; this is a tragedy for the people.
“CA rejection of Sec. Judy Taguiwalo a tragedy for the people and a win for pork barrel politics,”
