President Rodrigo Roa Duterte graces the conferment ceremony of the 2016 Presidential Award for Child-Friendly Municipalities and Cities (PACFMC) at the Rizal Hall in Malacañan Palace on December 12, 2017.
The awardees for the national level include Davao City as the highly urbanized city; Santiago City, Isabela for the independent component city award; Tagaytay City for the component city award; Carmona, Cavite for the 1st to 3rd municipality award; and Salay City, Misamis Oriental for the 4th to 6th municipality award.
Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary and Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Emmanuel Leyco, together with CWC Executive Director Mary Mitzi Cajayon-Uy, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Eduardo Año, and Department of Health (DOH) Assistant Secretary Maria Francia Laxamana hand over the plaques of recognition to the national finalists of the 2016 Presidential Award for Child-Friendly Municipalities and Cities at the Rizal Hall in Malacañan Palace on December 12, 2017.
Likewise, Davao City and Santiago City, Isabela are conferred the Hall of Fame Award.
