Will Ruffa Gutierrez’s Stunning Daughter Lorin Bektas Likely Follow In Her Footsteps?

Lorin Gabriella Gutierrez Bektas is the gorgeous daughter of actress and beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez and Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas. She is the eldest daughter and has a sister named Venice Bektas.

Lorin is definitely tall for her age. She is just 13 years old. Some people predicted that Lorin will likely follow in her mom’s footsteps, who was crowned as second princess at the Miss World pageant in 1993. 

But Ruffa told PEP.ph during an event of Watsons, “Studies first.”

And if ever Lorin eventually decides to join, her mom will tell her this: “Enter the beauty pageant world with the right mindset.

“It’s really to represent the country and to be an inspiration to the women all over the world.”

The former beauty queen admitted she has not really given it much thought. Even her eldest daughter has not shown interest.

According to Ruffa: “Wala pa, wala pa. I think she’s too young pa, wala pa talaga sa utak niya. She’s thinking more about college.

“Happy ako na gano’n.”

Ruffa is hoping that Lorin will prioritize getting a college diploma and become succesful in the profession she chooses.

“Saka na-notice niyo yung mga beauty queens ngayon, they’re much older?

“Ako nung sumabak ako sa Miss Philippines, I was only 18. Miss Philippines ako nung 18. Nag-Look of the Year ako nung 17. And then nag-Miss World ako nung 19.

“Ngayon, yung mga beauty queens, they’re 22, 23, 24, so marami pang time para mag-aral, para maging more mature, para mahasa sila.”

Ruffa doesn’t have regrets in joining at a young age. 

“Walang pagsisisi sa akin, I think, that’s the time I had, that’s the time God gave me.

“Now kasi, the women are more go-getter so gusto nila talagang makatapos muna ng pag-aaral nila.

“Nakita niyo naman yung mga beauty queens ngayon, may mga pipi na gustong sumali, you now what I mean?

“It’s a wide range of different women of all shapes, colors, and sizes, right?”

She ended, “Wala na siyang pinipili na ‘Ay beauty queen, maganda siya, matangad, ay sali ka na.’

“Kailangan, may pinag-aralan ka rin. There has to be something unique about you na parang mag-stand out kasi ang dami nang magaganda ngayon.”
