Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio gives birth to a healthy baby boy through caesarian section on Thursday, March 2.
The newborn baby was named Stonefish, whose full name is Marko Digong Duterte Carpio. He weighs 2.42 kilograms or 5.3 pounds. Stonefish is the third child of Inday Sara and lawyer husband, Mans Carpio. She was pregnant with triplets but lost two to miscarriage. The couple have two other children named Mikhaila Maria, 7 years old, and Matteo Lucas, 3 years old, who are nicknamed Sharky and Stingray, respectively.
After attending a groundbreaking ceremony in Cordova, Cebu, where he said he was “exceedingly excited” to see Stonefish, his newborn grandson, President Duterte flew straight to Davao Doctors Hospital late Thursday evening. Stonefish is President Duterte’s eight grandson.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella, the arrival of the President’s newest grandchild fortifies his resolve “to leave a legacy of a Philippines safe and secure from drugs and heinous crimes to future generation ofFilipinos.”
