Froilan Canlas, one of the ‘ultimate resbakers’ performed on ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ stage on Friday, March 3 his heartfelt rendition of “Sa Ugoy Ng Duyan”, a Filipino lullaby. It was co-written by Lucio San Pedro and Levi Celerio who were both National Artists of the Philippines.
Froilan made the audience cry during his performance. He even received a standing ovation from the judges.
One of the judges, Billy Crawford said: “Your performance is dehydrating.”
“You remind me of the good memories of my mom. You are wonderful performer. You sing from the heart and you gave justice on your performance. I salute you. You are amazing! Thank you so much.”
Jex de Castro and Dominador Alviola Jr. who are the other ‘Ultimate Resbakers’ also performed on Twag Ng Tanghalan.
The winners will join Sam Mangubat, Carl Malone Montecido, Noven Belleza, Eumee Capile, Marielle Montellano, Pauline Agupitan, Mary Gidget Dela Llana, and Maricel Callo on Tawag Ng Tanghalan
Grand Finals next week.
