A heart-melting Facebook post was shared by a netizen named Anica Velarde Espinosa to extend her gratefulness to a Grab Car driver, Grape Rufon Fernandez who helped her to get to the hospital and see her dying son for the last time.
On Sunday, April 2, Anica was searching for the car driver who helped her speed through the traffic from Cainta to Banawe to be with her dying son in the hospital. Anica hopes to meet the driver again so she can personally give thanks for his kind deed when she desperately needed to rush to the hospital for his son.
“Kuya.. Hinahanap po kita sa FB di po kita ma-search…
“Sya po kase ang pinadala sa akin ng Panginoon nung time na nag-aagaw buhay na ang anak ko.”

Anica at that time hurriedly booked in a car-booking app — Grab Car to go back to the hospital. Faith was so kind when Grape was driving it. Anica was crying while inside the car and told Grape that her son was dying.
“Habang byahe panay ang tawag ko sa hospital kung maaabutan ko pa ba si Sean. At kung hindi ko na maaabutan, paki-video na lang sana ang huling hininga nya para sakin.
With the driver overhearing his passenger talking with someone on the phone while weeping, Grape drove fast while honking with hazard light flashing to signal emergency.
From Cainta to Banawe Quezon City, they were able to reach the hospital in 32 minutes which permitted her to see her beloved son before passing away.
Anica’s heartfelt message to the driver: Salamat Kuyang Driver. Napakabuti nyo po. Ang tagpo na yun na naabutan ko pa anak ko ay di ko malilimutan kasama na po kayo.”
The said driver refused to accept the transportation fee and told his worried passenger: “Mam, lakasan nyo lang po ang loob nyo at ok na ako.
Anica’s 2nd post reads: Salamat po sa Diyos at ang mga hinahanap ko ay nakikita ko… Salamat po sa mga netizens din na nag-share para ma-meet ko po uli siya.. Dumalaw na po si Grab Angel sa wake ni Sean… At sobrang ang saya po namin nung magkita kami.. MAraming Maraming Salamat po kuya Grape.. Sana dumami pa po ang katulad ninyo…
