‘The Voice’ Contestant Performed Cover Of Adele’s “When We Were Young” And Hit A Nerve With Viewers

The Voice Portugal is a Portuguese reality singing competition and local version of the Voice originally broadcast as The Voice of Holland. 

Daniel Fernando, a 20-year old contestant performed a cover of Adele’s “When We Were Young.” His performance hit a nerve with viewers who quickly began sharing clips of his performance. His cover blew away the judges, with all four turning around. 

Daniel said he chose the Adele song because he loved the song and it had had a huge influence on him.

As for the reaction to his performance, he said it’s been “Awesome!!! People around the world tell that they are a huge fans…I am living a dream!”

Daniel’s fans started tweeting his personal Twitter account sending well wishes and praise.
