A 25-year old farmer named Akbar Salubiro set out to gather palm oil in his remote village in Indonesia. Neighbors noticed that Akbar didn’t return home after. The following day they soon found out that he was missing the following day.
Then, Akbar’s neighbors noticed an extremely large python, a 7-meter long python in his backyard. This python had a swollen belly and the villagers suddenly feared that the farmer have been swallowed whole by the python.
The neighbors cut the python open using an 18-inch long hunting knife. There they found Akbar’s body inside. Akbar’s body was crushed before being swallowed whole.
According to Akbar’s wife, Munu, she was away at the time and only found out when pictures and video emerged in the news.
Village secretary Salubiro Junaidi said: ‘People had heard cries from the palm grove the night before Akbar was found in the snake’s stomach.
‘When the snake was captured, the boots Akbar was wearing were clearly visible in the stomach of the snake.
‘Resident cut open the belly of the snake and Akbar was lifeless.’
