Google is the tech giant that every web user is familiar with. Google’s weapon against black hat hackers is Parisa Tabriz. She is the ‘Security Princess’ and ‘Browser Boss’ of Google.
She is one of the 250 security engineers in Google, is well known in and out of the hacking world. In 2012, she was named in the “Top 30 People Under 30 To Watch in the Technology Industry” list by Forbes. Since her entry to Google in 2007, she has become a highly valued asset of the company.
Tabriz manages Google’s Chrome security engineering team, and their goal is to make Chrome the most secure browsing experience for users. Every day, Tabriz and her team find bugs in thewidely used browser and fix them before any other hacker gets to them.
Tabriz told Digital News Asia: “So I have worked at Google for 10 years and my job has changed over those 10 years, but our mission has stayed the same: to keep our users and their data safe. And I am just one of hundreds of people who work on security and privacy at Google. We have a team of over 500 who work on security and privacy and keeping user data safe across many different products.”
