James Yap And His 140-Square Meter Hotel-Condo Unit Bonifacio Global City, Taguig

Basketball cager James Yap currently plays for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He is a twelve-time PBA All-Star through 2004 to 2015. James was named as the UAAP Most Valuable Player in 2003.
In 2010, when James and Kris Aquino eneded their marriage, he temporarily lived in a hotel room. He recalled: “No’ng nahiwalay ako kay Kris, siyempre wala akong bahay. Wala akong relatives dito sa Manila o bahay na malilipatan, so nag-hotel muna ako.”
“Siyempre hindi naman for life na magho-hotel ka, kasi mahal, medyo madugo.”
So, the basketball cager decided to look for a place he could call his home — a unit in a posh condominium complex in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. He is now living with his Italian partner Michela Cazzola and their eight-month old baby Michael James.
James’ 140-square meter unit has two bedrooms and three bathrooms, and had a “modern, contemporary, classic” vibe. His unit’s color palette—gray, black, and white—looked calming and breathed an air of classy sophistication.
The dining area had six black chairs which were customized for big guys like James and his colleagues.
James’ kitchen is fully-equipped although he seldom cooks. “Adobo lang po ang alam kong lutuin kasi iyon ang favorite ko,” he joked.
