New Albay police chief vows to enhance police ops, personnel welfare

LEGAZPI CITY – New Albay police chief Col. Noel Nuñez vowed to improve police operations while ensuring the morale and welfare of the police force.

During the command turnover ceremony Monday at Camp General Simeon Ola here, Nuñez said his tenure will be marked by integrity, decisiveness and dedication.

"We will enhance our internal support programs, focusing on physical and mental wellness, as well as recognition and career development. Our goal is to foster an environment where every police officer feels valued, protected, and motivated to exceed expectations," he said.

"We will maximize partnerships with local government units and stakeholders to enhance our logistical capabilities, improve mobility and maintain 24/7 operational readiness."

Nuñez is also planning to establish regular hazard assessments, intelligence monitoring and contingency planning for both man-made and natural threats.
