Kidnapping is the taking away of a person by force, threat or deceit, with intent to cause him or her to be detained against his or her will. Kidnapping maybe done for ransom or for political or other purpose.
Nowadays, kidnapping have become so rampant. Reports of kids and even teenagers who were missing here and there have flooded online.
In the Municipality of Batuan, Bohol, the official page posted a warning against a kidnapping attempt of a 1-year old grandchild.
Based on this post, a grandmother was inside her room carrying her 1-year old grandchild when she heard the sound of the door. Then a man entered and tried to take her grandchild.
The kidnapper kicked the grandmother so that she would let go of her grandchild. Luckily, the grandmother was able to shout for help, and it was only then that guy quickly ran out.
According to a witness, the guy was in a red motorcycle and quickly exited the area. They believed that the guy who entered the house simply hid in the forested area between Carmen and Batuan.
Authorities searched the area. The town officials called in a meeting, seeking the vigilance of every constituent in looking for the said kidnapper.
