A concerned citizen shared this story of Sherilyn Santiago, a girl from Mexico, Pampanga. This girl was suffering from cerebral palsy. According to her mother, Sherilyn started to get sick when she was 11 years old.
Sherilyn used to fall asleep everytime and she no longer knew their names. They brought Sherilyn to the doctor. According to the doctor, Sherilyn’s ailment is in her nervous system, particularly her brain.
For several days, Sherilyn was confined at the hospital. Instead of her brain being treated, it was her stomach that was treated which worsened her condition. Her mom opted to bring her daughter home because of the worsening condition.
Sherilyn was brought to the Philippine Children Medical Center. They were told that her ailment was viral encephalitis. Sherilyn fell into coma and became blind. Her mother said if Sherilyn had been treated properly, such wouldn’t have happened.
Today, Sherilyn is showing signs of improvement although she has been undergoing epileptic shocks while her cerebral palsy worsens. Her brain has also shrunk in size overtime.
There is now plenty of water in Sherilyn’s brain and she needs immediate operation that’s why her mom asks help from netizens for her bedridden daughter.
