This Stranger Buys New Shoes Worth P6,000 For a Boy Who Was Selling Sampaguita In The Street And Barefoot

A heartwarming story posted by Mara Karmela has gone viral just this week. She shared photos of her experience seeing an incredible generosity from a stranger who is a foreigner.
In Karmela’ Facebook post, she shared that she was walking a Nike store on her way home when she saw some sales people having their picture taken with a foreigner and a young boy.
Karmela thought that the foreigner was a celebrity. Upon hearing their conversations, Karmela realized that the foreigner had bought the boy a pair of Nike shoes worth P6,000.
“In exchange for the shoes, the kid gave him all the sampaguita he was selling. (Naiyak po ako ng slight.) The foreigner said why don’t you wear the shoes already, to which the kid replied: “Hindi po pwede. Baka kunin ng mga bata,” the story update read.
According to others who witnessed the whole thing, the foreigner saw the young boy outside the store selling sampaguita and barefoot. The man felt compassion towards the boy, so he went and bought him the shoes.
After paying for the Nike shoes, Karmela heard that the foreigner asks the cashier where the nearest clothing store was. Karmela was no longer able to follow them to buy clothes for the young boy.
Karmela’s Facebook post garnered 23K likes and 4303K shares.
