Former PBA Player Dorian Peña, 2 Others Arrested in Drug Buy-bust Operation

Former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Dorian Alan Peña was arrested in a buy-bust operation that took place in Merryland Village, Mandaluyong City.
The raid yielded two plastic sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride (“shabu”) and several drug paraphernalia.
Peña faces charges for violations of Section 7 (a visitor of a drug den) and Section 15 (use of dangerous drugs) of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (Republic Act 9165).

Along with Peña, also charged are two other respondents, Jose Paolo Ampeso and LedyMeaVilchez.
All three tested positive for drug use.
Peña entered the PBA in 2001 and played for the San Miguel Beermen until 2011. He was traded to the Barako Bull Energy (now Phoenix Fuel Masters) where he spent 1 season before going back to his original team. He was traded back to Barako Bull where he played for 2 more seasons before spending time with Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel and eventually capping off his career with the Batang Pier.
He won four championships, made the Mythical 1st team twice, 2nd team once, in a career that lasted 15 seasons.
The 6-foot-6, 39-year old Filipino-American last played for GlobalPortBatang Pier in 2016.
