WATCH!Honeylet Emotionally Defends Duterte from Trillanes: ”He’s that kind of person… You can see the goodness in his heart,”

President Rodrigo Duterte’s common law wife Honeylet Avanceña became emotional when she defended the Chief Executive from Senator Antonio Trillanes’ tirades that started as early as a week before the 2016 elections.

Trillanes has linked Duterte to extrajudicial killings and corruption. “Trillanes has been hitting us since a week before election… Pero bakit buhay pa siya? Diba? Wala namang nangyayari,” Avanceña said in a speech during the launching of a rehabilitation program for drug dependents in Camp Crame.

“So it’s not true that he’s that kind of person… You can see the goodness in his heart,” a teary-eyed Avanceña said in her speech.

Trillanes has been a staunch critic of Duterte, accusing the latter and his family of having multi-billion peso bank accounts.

In the same speech, Avanceña also defended Duterte and his violent war against illegal drugs.

“He (Duterte) will never instruct PNP to kill criminals. Kilala ko siya,” she said.

Avanceña served as the guest speaker at the event, which she talked about drugs and the President for about 30 minutes.

“Alam niyo yung umaakyat kayo, hindi kayo makaakyat kasi maraming bumabatak… How I wish that federalism will be established soon, kung pwede lang bukas,” she said.

Duterte’s common-law wife also talked about her controversial trip to New York City upon the invitation of United States first lady Melania Trump.

In what she described as a “socialization gathering,” she said she was at Table 3 and was seated beside a representative from Homeland Security, while the US first lady was at Table Avanceña said she took this opportunity to talk about the crisis in Marawi and how it’s related to drugs, as her subtle way of asking for help.

“I was trying to help out in my own little way, yung gobyerno natin, to tell the people what’s happening in our country,” she said.
