President Rodrigo Duterte was not impressed by the Office of the Ombudsman regarding with the decision the dismissal order of Iloilo City mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog.
The president said that the Ombudsman’s move was long overdue because the corruption case was filed already the official.
Duterte also reiterated that the Ombudsman was only showing a glimpse of Mabilog’s dismissal.

According to President Duterte, the Ombudsman is supposed to be supported by him but not.
“Mabilog is, I think a cousin of Drilon. Wala na. The Ombudsman, in a very, very late gesture, para kunwari na sinuportahan nila ako, fired, stripped him of his mayorship,” Pres.Duterte said
President Duterte accused Mabilog of allegedly being a protector of drug lords in Iloilo and often accused him of his speeches. Mabilog is among the local officials in the presidential drug list.
