Isabelle Duterte’s public feud with his father Paolo Duterte finally caused harm to her family after Paolo, out of courtesy and respect for his position, chose to resign as the Vice Mayor of Davao City.

Paolo cited his failed relationship with his daughter and the public squabble that ensued between them as one of the reasons for resigning.

The disgraced former Vice-Mayor shared, “There are recent unfortunate events in my life that are closely tied to my failed first marriage,” including “the very public squabble with my daughter,” he said.

“The other person in this failed relationship is incorrigible and cannot be controlled,” Paolo alleged, in an apparent reference to his daughter.

Isabelle ranted on social media regarding his father and how he hurt someone, possible her or one of her friends, physically. Based on Pulong’s answers, it seems like he physically hurt one of Isabelle’s friends. A friend, based on Isabelle’s post is right around her age of seventeen, possibly someone underage.

Isabelle then posted on Facebook regarding the incident and addressed the situation saying her longtime friend was hospitalized, unjustly accused of things he/she did not commit, and that Isabelle really feels sorry about the entire incident. She apologized to her friend and her friend’s family.
