Federalism in the Philippines ”It needs to be happen.-Lea Salonga

Artist Lea Salonga seems convinced that changing the system of the government to Federalism can solve the biggest problems of the Philippines including the worsening traffic in Metro Manila.

In her social media post, Lea Salonga asked her followers about the different solutions that can fix the traffic woes in the Philippines especially in Metro Manila.

“Hmm, dear Facebookers, what solutions can you come up with to fix our traffic woes? And no, cussing out the gov’t doesn’t count. #TrafficFix” Lea Salonga wrote.

One of the netizens who commented to the post is Orion Perez D. one of the well-known advocates of Federalism.

According to Orion, Federalism can solve the traffic problem in Metro Manila because it would give chance to the other regions in the Philippines to develop themselves and it would decentralize the national capital region.


Salonga responded to the comment of Perez and she said that Federalism “needs to happen”

The artist also believed that if Federalism cannot be passed in the administration of President Duterte , there’s a possibility that it cannot be pushed by the next administrations.

He presented an infomercial to the artist to show how Federalism can solve the problem of the Philippines.

Orion convinced Salonga to spread the video to her friends so they can be convinced that the 1987 constitution is need to be fixed.
