A 91-year old man was seen wandering in Mandaluyong with P1.5M in his pockets. He was walking in EDSA, Mandaluyong on Monday.
According to police report, the old man was seen by police and officers in Barangay Barangka Ilaya at around 5:30 p.m.
When he was being approached, the old man has money in pesos
and dollars. He was seen holding the money and some of them were in his pockets on his pants.
The old man was brought to the barangay hall for his identity and to count the money. 300 pieces of dollar bills amounting to P1.3M and P276,000 pesos were the total of all his money.
Based on his license and senior citizen’s ID, authorities were able to contact one of the old man’s children. His daughter has identifications that they are related to each other that’s why the old man was turned over to her.
