Lion is one of the big cats in the genus in Panthera and a member of the family Felidae with some males exceeding 250 kg (550 lbs) in weight. It is the second-largest living cat after the tiger.

Oleksie Pinko, a lion tamer is shown attempting to keep a lion at a distance, using a rod. Pinko was visibly limping, having already been attacked by a lion. As he continues to jab the lion, it lunges.
