Education is the process of facilitating, learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs and habits. It is one of the treasures no one could ever take away from you. What you learn cannot be unlearned, nor can be stolen from you.
Education can be quite expensive, and not everybody can afford to go to school like these street children in Gastambide in Manila who are forced by society to stay out of school because of poverty.
Dara Mae Tuazon, an aspiring pre-school teacher who is now studying at the University of the East choose to help these streetchildren instead of simply watching them waste their lives away.
Dara teaches them and she feeds the streetchildren with food bought with her own money. Dara enjoys teaching them. These children were visibly happy to learn from the aspiring teacher too.
After Dara’s photos were posted on Facebook page UM Freedom Wall, other netizens shared their own photos of Dara teaching streetchildren.
