On Saturday, April 29, Jona Soquite sings “Anak Ng Pasig” on The Voice Teens Philippines Blind Auditions, a reality singing television competition for teens that airs on ABS-CBN.
Jona won over the hearts of the Voice Teens coaches as she took on the hit environmental song of Geneva Cruz.
When the 13-year old girl sang the first few lines of the song, coach Sarah Geronimo quickly turned her chair followed by Lea Salonga, Sharon Cuneta, and Bamboo who all worked hard to get her on their teams.
According to coach Bamboo: “There are points that you were screaming.”
Sharon Cuneta said: “From the beginning, it really sounded good to me.”
Meanwhile Lea Salonga said: “I know that you have a potential to tell a story. What I like is your fighting spirit. You have heart when you are singing.”
In the end, Jona picks Team Sarah.
