In Barangay Gabut Sur, locals are flocking there after a resident named Ruby Jean Arquillo said that she saw an image of Jesus Christ on an electric post while fetching water.
According to her, she first noticed the image on the post while she was fetching water, but ignored it. Later, she found the image still there, so she informed her mother and relatives.
Ruby Jean said: “Nung una kong nakita, umulan nang malakas at kumulog. Hindi naman masasabing drawing, ‘di ba? Milagro yan.”
Fr. Joey Ranjo, spokesperson of the Diocese of Laoag, said there is nothing wrong if people believe in the alleged image of Jesus Christ.
According to him: “Pinakaimportante ang pagsisimba. Dito natin maipapakita ang paniniwala sa Diyos.”
Many among the crowd offered prayers, and placed lit candles at the post. Sightseers also took photos.
