Former Janitor Who Was Among The Successful Passers Of 2016 Philippine Bar Exam, Now A Lawyer

The 2016 Bar Exam results had already been released. A total of 3,747 out of 6,344 law graduates who have completed the tests on the four Sundays of November 2016, the full list and topnotchers who got at least 75 percent average grade were announced by the Supreme Court. For the first time, all of the Top 10 passers came from the provincial law schools.
A former janitor named Ramil Comendador from Catanduanes in Bicol was among the successful passers of the 2016 Philippine Bar Exam. He only took once in the bar exam and now he’s a lawyer!
Comendador had worked four years as janitor at the Commission on elections office. While working, he was studying law at the University of Manila.
According to Comendador: “Baon-baon mo yung pangarap mo na makaalis na sa kahirapan. Baon-baon mo yun, siyempre. Malaking bahagi nun talaga yung tiwala mo sa Panginoon, at maitatawid mo yung mga pangarap mo.”
Comendador has two children that’s why it is very hard for him to finish his studies. He cannot believe this for when he’s taking the exam, he almost give up.
He said: “Yung kamay ko nun, nagshe-shake talaga, as in hindi makapag-sulat. Ang ginawa ko po, after kong magdasal, kinuha ko ng kaliwang kamay ko ang kanang kamay ko at pinilit kong idiniin sa papel. Sabi ko, ‘Panginoon, pahintulutan mong makapag-sulat ako kasi gustong gusto ko itong maitawid’.”
Now that he already passed the bar exam, Comendador has this wish: to see his father who left him while he was still in his mother’s womb.
